Six Seeds ● Six Lines ● an ode to the darkness ●
Persephone’s Fruit Literary Journal is an ode to the yearning, to the beauty in hidden passions, to quiet stirrings, and to the sacred fruitful darkness that holds it all. Inspired by the myth of Persephone and Hades, the poems within are an invitation of mutual descent. A promise to honor our hidden seeds, and to return to what gives us life.

After their mutual descent as lovers, Persephone was called to return to her waking life. Hades offered her six sacred pomegranate seeds that she quietly consumed, seeding an eternal promise that in six months she would be back to reign beside him as King & Queen of the Underworld.
